Did
you know that…
The
human body
No test can diagnose
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). IBS may be associated
with food intolerances, stress and gut infections.
IBS affects approximately one in five people at one
time or another and usually affects people between
the ages of 20 to 30.
Between
the ages of 30 and 70 a nose may lengthen and widen
by as much as 1.3cm and the ears by 0.6cm longer.
This occurs because cartilage is one of the few tissues
that continues to grow as we age.
From birth to adolescence,
selected bones in the human body fuse together. The
last bone to fuse is the collar bone and this occurs
between the ages of 18 and 25.
A human tongue tastes
bitter things towards the back. Salty and pungent
flavours are detected at the middle of the tongue
and sweet flavours
at the tip.
The
human heart rests between beats. In an average lifetime
of 70 years, the total resting time is estimated to
be about 40 years. According to acupuncturists, there
is a point on the head that you can press to control
your appetite. It is located in the hollow just in
front of the flap of the ear.
